Dedicated to providing vital information about a wide variety of nonprofits providing food, shelter and education to communities both here and abroad, the organization is now in its third year. Created with her sons Michael and Julian Omidi, Cindy Omidi’s No More Poverty is credited with helping various organizations across the globe in their quest to eliminate poverty and oppression worldwide.
“I wouldn’t have known how to give without No More Poverty,” says Bob, one recent donor, who contributed $1200.00 to an organization that offers housing and job retraining to the unemployed within urban America that he found on the site. “The Omidis really presents a wide selection of charities from which I could choose.” he adds. “I had saved up this money to donate, and wasn’t sure how to give. I follow Julian Omidi on Twitter, so I get his health updates. When I heard he and his mother Cindy had a nonprofit as well, I knew I had to check it out,” he explains.
No More Poverty does not accept direct donations, as the Omidis quickly explain. They do not receive any money for their work, nor do they want to. The point is entirely to help eliminate suffering for individuals and families both here and abroad, Cindy Omidi’s representative adds. After a lifetime of privilege and professional achievement, Cindy Omidi, along with her family, has chosen to give back in a spectacular fashion, he says. Judging by the large number of donations and the overall high traffic to the website, her mission has become a huge success.
