Price Pfister(R) Partners with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to Promote Water Conservation

Price Pfister®, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial kitchen and bath fixtures and bath accessories, proudly announced that it has partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) WaterSense® program to help consumers save water for future generations and reduce costs on their utility bills. The goal of WaterSense is to decrease consumers indoor and outdoor water use by promoting high-efficiency products and simple water-saving practices. The Ashfield collection of lavatory trough faucets is the first in a new lineup of Price Pfister product families designed to proudly bear the EPAs WaterSense label. Price Pfister is supporting the WaterSense program by earning the WaterSense label for its products.

Price Pfister proudly supports initiatives like the WaterSense program that promote eco-friendly practices to help in water conservation, said Greg Williamson, vice president, Marketing, Price Pfister. It is important for our company to implement change and raise awareness of water-related environmental issues, and we hope that our partnership with the EPA will help educate consumers on choosing earth-friendly products.

The Ashfield lavatory trough faucets feature a country-inspired design and are engineered to meet WaterSense specifications. They represent the companys new generation of Eco-Pfriendly products specifically engineered to help conserve natural resources through decreased water consumption. These products, and many others in Price Pfisters planned product lineup, also provide an added financial benefit by lowering water utility costs.

Ashfield lavatory trough faucets flow at a rate of 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm), and are designed to reduce water consumption by 30 percent without compromising the consumers water experience. This flow rate represents a notable improvement over the standard 2.2 gpm mandated by the Federal Energy Policy Act of 1992. The adoption of water-efficient products like the Ashfield faucets can save the average household approximately 30,000 gallons of water per year.

WaterSense makes it easy for consumers to identify products that use less water and still perform just as well, said Sheila Frace, director, EPA Municipal Support Division. Purchasing WaterSense labeled products can also help consumers save money on their utility bills.

Ashfields WaterSense labeled lavatory trough faucets, along with other of Price Pfisters water-conscious families Falsetto, Hanover, Skye, Virtue and Vega can be found at a variety of home improvement centers nationwide. They are available in an array of richly detailed finishes and are covered by the Pforever Warranty®, which guarantees finish and function for the life of the product.
