MA-60 Aircraft Land on Custom Timken(R) Bearings

The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) announced today that it has supplied a custom bearing solution for use in the landing wheels manufactured by Xian Aviation Brake Technology Co. Ltd. for an aircraft model made in China.

Xian Aviation Brake Technology turned to Timken to improve the durability of landing wheel assemblies for use in the Modern Ark 60 (MA-60) turboprop regional aircraft. The MA-60 is produced in China for both domestic and export use.

Utilizing Timkens expertise in bearing geometry, engineers designed a robust tapered roller bearing intended to enhance the performance of Xians wheel assemblies.
