LinuxWorld Conference and Expo is the premier event exclusively focused on Linux and open source solutions. As the worlds most comprehensive marketplace for open source products and services, more than 10,000 IT business decision-makers attend the event each year with information and resources to implement Linux and open source solutions into business infrastructure and enterprise networks.

As the largest event dedicated to open source solutions, LinuxWorld provides us with an unparalleled platform for discussing open source backup and recovery, said Kant. With Ubuntus growing popularity in production environments, I look forward to discussing the importance of implementing a robust backup solution with its users.

Among the Zmanda products on display at the event will be Amanda Enterprise, an enhanced and supported version of the worlds most popular open source backup and recovery software that is distributed with both community and enterprise Linux distributions from Red Hat. Amanda Enterprise allows users to backup, archive, and recover servers, workstations, desktops and business-critical applications across a network. The backup data and archives can be stored on disks, tape, optical devices or online storage services such as Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).

Zmanda Recovery Manager (ZRM) for MySQL will also be exhibited at the event. ZRM is an easy-to-use, flexible and robust open source backup and recovery solution for MySQL databases and the only solution endorsed by MySQL. ZRM enables database administrators to centrally manage all backup operations including full, incremental, raw or logical backup, one-click point-in-time recovery, and hot backup & recovery with continuous data protection across local, remote or clustered MySQL servers.
