Kaseya Announces Product Roadmap for 2009 to Greatly Expand Offerings for IT Service Providers, Public and Private Sector Clients

Kaseya, the leading global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and public and private sector IT organizations, announced today its product roadmap for 2009. The plan provides managed service providers (MSPs) and IT administrators insight into the company’s vision for the next 12 to 18 months, which will bring greatly expanded capabilities in the areas of Service Delivery and Management; Business Continuity; Security; Monitoring and Availability; and Virtualization. In addition, Kaseya will support several additional operating systems and devices; greatly increase scalability and other enterprise capabilities; introduce the company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings; and introduce several new services designed to increase efficiency and lower costs for MSPs as well as public and private sector IT management customers.

According to an October 2008 Gartner prediction, IT spending growth will slow down in 2009, flatlining in the US and Japan.1 No one, however, expects the demands and challenges facing IT departments to slow down in the face of ever-increasing complexity. To address this quandary, Kaseya is dedicated to providing IT automation solutions to assist customers in increasing productivity and return on their investments, especially important in the difficult global economy ahead. The company’s products will enable MSPs to offer an even broader set of services to customers, while allowing them to operate more efficiently. By solving additional customer problems, service providers can generate more revenue and best position themselves during an environment of heavy cost-cutting. Kaseya’s integrated platform also enables IT managers to ‘do more with less,’ even as they improve their internal quality of service and effectiveness in meeting service level agreements.

“In today’s economy, IT managers and service providers are challenged to be more productive and cost-efficient than ever before,” said Jim Alves, executive vice president, product marketing and strategy at Kaseya. “Kaseya is laser-locked on helping our customers meet these challenges. Our IT automation platform provides the most comprehensive platform for automating vital functions and we’re improving power and functionality dramatically over the next year. We’re excited to build upon our momentum, solving even more customer challenges in the new year.”

The roadmap is designed to help customers understand the future direction, power and flexibility of Kaseya’s comprehensive management platform. Some of the products and new functionality MSPs and IT administrators can look forward to in 2009 include:

  • Kaseya Network Infrastructure – Enhanced virtualization support, online backup and disaster recovery and policy management are just a few upgrades to the main platform
  • Kaseya SaaS – Revolutionary solution available in several levels, including straightforward PC remote control and PC inventory applications; on-demand IT services like patch management or OS migration; and a full cloud implementation, SaaS delivery of the Kaseya Virtual Systems Administrator and add-on functionality, available as a subscription
  • Kaseya IT Services – A full range of new services will assist customers in achieving better staff utilization, providing them access to a broader range of services and reducing their cost of service delivery. New IT services will include enhanced multi-tiered automated 24x7 IT management and monitoring, a full range of onsite and offsite backup and disaster recovery services, helpdesk services, management of virtualization environments and administration of the customer’s Kaseya solution
