Dick's Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) raised its 4th quarter guidance as the sporting goods retailer recorded impairment charges, but expected to keep all of its stores open.
On the downside
Moody's downgraded the senior debt for Hartford Financial (NYSE: HIG). The stock promptly fell.Toyota (NYSE: TM) announced that it expected its first full-year loss since 1950.
SRA International (NYSE: SRX) lowered its revenue and profit outlook for the year. The company provides consulting services to government, military and health agencies and businesses.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin
of nearly 3 to 1 on the NYSE and by more than 2 to 1 Nasdaq. The
Russell 2000 which tracks small cap stocks added 6 points to 461.
