CANADA STOCKS-Toronto stocks rise as commodities climb

TORONTO, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's resource-heavy main stock index rose on Friday as stronger-than-expected Chinese manufacturing data eased concerns about the global recovery, lighting a fire under commodity prices.
