e-Dialog Wins Awards from Web Marketing Association

e-Dialog, a proven provider of integrated digital marketing solutions within the GSI Commerce (Nasdaq: GSIC) Global Marketing Services division, announced it has been honored with two awards in the 2011 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC), an annual competition dedicated to recognizing excellence in online marketing. e-Dialog’s Creative Services team was awarded ‘Best in Show E-mail’ and ‘Best E-mail Message’ for the 2010 e-Dialog Holiday Card. In addition, e-Dialog client British Airways won best airline industry e-mail message for its Executive Club Application e-mail.

Each year e-Dialog sends an interactive holiday card to clients, prospects and partners. The objective of the message is to thank customers and convey holiday wishes, reflect company culture, and show an innovative use of e-Dialog technology to inspire clients to try new approaches. e-Dialog created an original interactive application called "Build Your Own Snowman" which enabled recipients to decorate a snowman using a library of backgrounds and accessories, including hats, scarves, arms, and more. Users were then able to save the snowman to their desktop as holiday wallpaper or e-mail it to friends. e-Dialog also gave customers the option to share their snowman on Facebook or post it on e-Dialog’s Facebook wall for a chance to win an iPod.

e-Dialog also won under the category “Best Airline Industry Email Message” for an Executive Club App e-mail designed for client British Airways (BA). Launch of the BA Executive Club application was accompanied by a campaign to drive downloads of the application among club members, targeting users with e-mails specifically designed for the device upon which they most frequently check e-mails. British Airways designed four e-mail templates for the launch, tailored to iPhones, Android phones, BlackBerrys and desktop PCs. The campaign surpassed expectations with open rates in excess of 50 percent for iPhone and Android devices, far exceeding opens for desktop versions. Content was highly targeted and designed to render appropriately on each device.
