PRLog - Nov. 6, 2013 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Author/screenwriter Kristin Kuhns Alexandre is developing ALTAR ROCK, an original screenplay written with Wayne Carter (M-Path, Dad’s Camp, Recess), based on Alexandre’s novel of the same name. The novel is scheduled for release in June 2014.  Ms. Alexandre will be at the American Film Market (www.americanfilmmarket.com) with ALTAR ROCK, November 6-13, meeting with production/investment partners for her upcoming Nuncio LLC project.

Founded in 1981, the American Film Market (AFM) has become the premiere global marketplace for Hollywood’s decision-makers and trendsetters who gather under one roof. Unlike a film festival, the AFM is a marketplace where production and distribution deals are closed. In just eight days, more than $800 million in deals will be sealed — on both completed films and those in every stage of development and production — making AFM the must-attend industry event.

ALTAR ROCK tells the coming-of-age story of Tillie Gardner, a bereaved Nantucket teenager who is falling apart after the shocking and sudden death of her parents in an airplane crash on the small island of Nantucket. Aunt Bess, a reformed alcoholic and Tillie's guardian, learns that the deaths were in fact murder, or possibly retribution by two terrorist brothers out to wreak havoc and avenge their father's death. One (the younger brother) befriends Tillie and is conflicted between his family and his new-found affection for the girl (our heroine).

Tillie hates airplanes; her father's airplane has made her an orphan, like the orphans on 9/11. She can still remember the chill that ran down her spine when she was seven and watched the planes crash into the World Trade Center. She saw men and women jump from the buildings' ledges. Now she stands on her own ledge, left alone to make quick, life-altering decisions.

Kristin  Kuhns Alexandre is writer/journalist and executive film producer, who heads Nuncio LLC. She is the author of the novel, GEM CITY GYPSY, which was published in June 2013.  She has written feature stories for numerous national magazines and newspapers and has worked as a publicist for many major organizations. She is also president of the Kuhns Investment Co. LLC. See web site www.altar-rock.com.

Wayne Carter has worked in Hollywood for 16 years and has sold more than 10 feature screenplays (M-Path, Dad’s Camp, Recess) to major studios. He has worked with major directors on projects based on his own screenplays, including Richard Donner, and Academy Award-winning directors Tony Richardson and James Cameron.
