Songstress ‘Lady Ele’ lands NAACP Image Award nod for Outstanding World Music Album

PRLog - Feb. 12, 2014 - HOLLYWOOD -- With the social-sphere approving “twerking” as the new norm with regards to acceptable soul music for our time, songstress Lady Ele has a refreshing perspective permeating its way through the musical landscape. Lady Ele’s recent EP release, “Coming From A Lady” boldly served notice to the music industry and secured a NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding World Music Album alongside music veterans Natalie Cole and Gloria Estefan.

Born Eleonore Hansson to a Swedish Mother and a North African Father, Lady Ele started her career singing in bands, choirs and winning several talent shows before landing long-term gigs as a background singer for various soulful Swedish artists.

“It’s such an honor and I’m so humbled by this esteemed recognition. The NAACP Image Awards have always inspired me and it’s a dream come true to now be a part of it,” says Lady Ele.

Winners will be voted upon by NAACP members by February 14th and announced when the envelopes are opened on Friday February 21st, during the Awards Ceremony for non-televised categories. Remaining categories will be announced LIVE on stage during the 2-hour TVOne telecast on Saturday Feb.22nd. The telecast will also include a one-hour pre-show airing from the red carpet
