Ghost Hunt Weekends, a specialty event company and leading organization in pursuit of the paranormal, announced that it is holding a ghost hunting event in February featuring the Moon River Brewery in Savannah, Georgia, with Syfy Channel’s “Ghost Hunters” fame Adam Berry as special paranormal celebrity guest.

A regular in the creepiest places list, the Moon River Brewery has been dubbed by CNN as the most haunted location in the United States. The American Institute of Paranormal Psychology and CNN calls the haunted Savannah as “the country’s most haunted city.”

"This is our second time to Savannah with Adam" said Chad Morin, President of Ghost Hunt Weekends. "We have had such a great time in this beautiful city, and the demand for us to host a return event was so high, we had to come back for another event,” he added.

"This is really exciting, the chance to explore areas that are normally off limits to the public, and then combine that with ghost hunting with a celebrity is really going to make this return trip something spectacular." Morin added.

Moon River Brewery sits on an old site built in 1821 that served initially as an upscale hotel for the elite in Savannah. During this period, several violent duels took place and a murder reportedly happened in the pub. The basement was also a reportedly infamous spot for keeping slaves who are said to be responsible for hair-raising ghostly appearances and activities to this day.

The 187-year-old building was also a hospital that housed sick people, mostly children in the upper floors who died during the yellow fever outbreaks. In the 1864 American Civil War, the building sat unused until it became the place of business for Moon River Brewery, one of Savannah’s iconic landmarks at the historic 21 West Bay Street.

"Savannah is one of the most haunted cities in America and it's not just a rumor,” said Adam Berry. "The last time we were at the Moon River Brewery with GHW we were communicating with someone that was very interactive, a tad aggressive but a hell of a lot of fun! This time we will be able to build on that investigation and try to get to the bottom of what is truly haunting this historic location."

Slated for Saturday, February 28th, the Savannah Ghost Hunt Weekend event gives every ghost hunting enthusiast the chance to become part of a great ghostly adventure with Adam. It will begin with the 200-Candle Dinner in the Tunnels with Adam and the Ghost Hunt Weekends Crew, followed by a Meet & Greet for photos, autograph signing, and question-and-answer session with the Ghost Hunters host. A live ghost hunt of the entire building will serve as the main event.

All areas of the Moon River Brewery – including those that are normally inaccessible by guests – will be open for all participants of the Ghost Hunt Weekend event.
