Ireland Postpones Capital Injections Into AIB

SAN FRANCISCO -- The government of Ireland is postponing additional capital injections into Allied Irish Banks due to the pending formation of a new government, the bank said Wednesday. "The short delay may also allow time to consider the outcomes of the Prudential Capital Assessment Review, which is being undertaken by the Central Bank of Ireland and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2011," said Allied Irish Banks in a statement.
