Social media giant announces winners in annual ceremony on Lake Las Vegas
PRLog - May 19, 2014 - THORNTON, Colo. -- The BlogPaws 2014 Pet Blogging and Social Media Award winners were recently announced in an exclusive red carpet ceremony that was live-streamed from Lake Las Vegas, Nevada. The winners were selected "Oscar style" by a panel of pet professionals and presented by Pet360.
BlogPaws, the first and original social media network and conference designed by and for pet bloggers, recently revealed the winners at the 6th Annual BlogPaws Pet Blogging and Social Media Conference.Awards emcee, Michael Cavanaugh, DVM, DABVP, Chief Executive Officer of the American Animal Hospital Association, set the mood with an entrance of grand proportion.

“This is one of the highest honors in the pet social media world, awarded to bloggers and microbloggers for excellence in twelve categories,” BlogPaws’ co-founder, Yvonne DiVita shared. “Finalists were selected from over 1,000 entries, and judged by a panel of industry experts.”
Official sponsors of the awards, Only Natural Pet, donated 400 pounds of pet food to be delivered to the pet rescue or shelter of each winner’s choice. Total donation is 4,800 pounds of pet food to pets in need. On behalf of the twelve winners, BlogPaws donated pet oxygen masks to the Henderson Fire Department, and canine body armor to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Officer Tom Moore attended with K-9 recipient Zeus. Vested Interest in K9s is donating ten additional body armor bulletproof vests to the police department in Las Vegas because of the connection BlogPaws made between the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Vested Interest in K9s. Eleven more dogs are now protected in the line of duty.
