CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on positive U.S. data

TORONTO, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as positive U.S. economic data helped drive gains in every major sector. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 47.54 points, or 0.31 percent, at 15,386.01 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak Editing by W Simon)
