Free Military to Maritime Career Fair set for New Orleans on December 4 during the International WorkBoat Show at the Morial Convention Center

Military veterans can meet with some of the nation's premier maritime companies, training schools and unions to learn about careers in the maritime industry during the free Military to Maritime Career Fair set for New Orleans on Dec. 4.

NEW ORLEANS, LA, November 26, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A free Military to Maritime Career Fair will be held in New Orleans from 1 - 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, in the Rivergate Room of the Morial Convention Center in conjunction with the annual International WorkBoat Show.

"The goal of the event is to connect maritime employers with military veterans and separating personnel who are interested in pursuing a career in the industry," said Bob Callahan, Show Director, WorkBoat Show.

During the Career Fair, current and former military personnel from all services can meet with representatives from some of the region's premier maritime companies, training schools, unions and others to learn about career opportunities in the maritime industry. No prior maritime experience is necessary and all services are welcome.

The International Workboat Show and WorkBoat magazine are sponsoring the Career Fair, which is hosted in cooperation with the American Maritime Partnership and the Offshore Marine Service Association.
