PRLog - Dec. 11, 2014 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Touch of Kindness is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the Jewish needy in Los Angeles.

This October, Touch of Kindness, in partner with Chasdei Avigail, launched the Double Play Toy Gemach. Mondays and Thursdays from 2:00 - 5:00 pm, gently-used toy donations will now be accepted at 157 S. Mansfield Avenue.

The Toy Gemach is aimed at children aged 6 months to 12 years old.

Touch of Kindness - Tomchei LA

The Hebrew meaning of Tomchei Shabbos is “supporter of the Sabbath.” Touch of Kindness was established both to help families find food for Shabbat and holidays, and to help those without work find jobs and earn livelihoods. For almost 40 years Touch of Kindness has been helping children obtain Jewish educations and providing families in need with clothing and furniture.

“Everyone, at one time or another, needs a helping hand and Tomchei Shabbos provides families enduring financial hardships the immediate relief they need to get back on their feet,” says Julian Omidi, No More Poverty cofounder. “No More Poverty is extremely proud to support this wonderful organization.”

Julian Omidi and No More Poverty encourages those in the LA area who can to make either toy, food or monetary donations when possible. If you would like to donate a toy to the Double Play Toy Gemach, it is requested you include your name and contact number with your donation.
