PRLog - March 18, 2015 - IRVING, Texas -- Pillar Hotels & Resorts (PHR) is pleased to announce a national sponsorship of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance (TS Alliance). The company and its employees have pledged to help increase awareness and participate in raising additional funds to support the overall goals and mission of the organization.
The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance is dedicated to finding a cure for tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), while improving the lives of those affected. Additionally, TS Alliance supports extensive research on related medical conditions including epilepsy, heart and lung disorders, and autism.
Chris Russell, Chief Executive Officer of PHR and a past TS Alliance Board Member, will now serve on the organization's Corporate Advisory Board. The cause is close to Russell's heart, as his daughter, Anna, was born with TSC.

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic disorder that causes non-malignant tumors to form in many different organs, primarily the brain, eyes, kidneys, skin and lungs. The aspects of TSC that most strongly affect quality of life are generally associated with the brain, such as seizures, developmental delay, intellectual disability and autism. TSC manifests itself in many different ways and its severity varies significantly, but one factor individuals with TSC have in common is that they must live with the disorder their entire lives.
