Celebrating the Biggest Christmas in Texas History with Lights, Music, and More
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Nov. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Santa’s Wonderland, a Texas Christmas Experience, and the Biggest Christmas attraction in the state of Texas is gearing up to open its doors. This year will be its 18th year of bringing smiles and Christmas cheer to the families and friends who come to immerse themselves in holiday fun, just south of College Station. Originally created to preserve and perpetuate the true meaning and “Spirit” of Christmas, this mega-sized holiday park brings loads of attractions in an environment that has its own very unique Texas flair.

Santa's Wonderland kicks off its season on Friday, November 13th! During Opening Weekend, Santa’s Wonderland will recognize and celebrate veterans and military active duty service men and women, providing free entry for those with a military ID. During the celebration which lasts all weekend, there will be several special events. First of all, on Friday, November 13th there will be the unveiling of the Expanded Trail of Lights and the New Patriotic Display, Home of the Free, Because of the Brave. On Saturday, November 14th the first 200 families through the gate will receive a FREE Santa’s Wonderland commemorative ornament. In addition, Santa’s Wonderland is supporting the Wounded Warrior Project. The Opening Weekend festivities will extend until closing on Sunday, November 15th. Super Saver Tickets are also on sale for that evening so everyone can enjoy a bit of savings.

While visiting the park, guests are immersed in a sparkling nostalgic world filled with over 3 million LED lights. Transported either by hayride or carriage ride, guests view the carefully crafted and awe-inspiring Trail of Lights, enjoying a seemingly endless supply of characters and shimmering scenes. The park has expanded from 37 acres to 69 acres, adding aver 1/3 mile of new lights, scenes and displays. This year the expanded trail has several new features including a Texas-sized train display, a beautiful life-sized 3d nativity display, and an inspiring patriotic red, white, and blue display called “Home of the Free - Because of the Brave”. Each year, displays have been added but this is the first time in 18 years that the trail has been expanded in this way. The experience is bigger and better than ever before, and the carriages and trailers that transport guests are covered in lights and play holiday music so the atmosphere on the trail is especially festive and bright!

The Trail of Lights is just half the fun! When not touring the lights, guests meander through Santa’s Town, a nostalgic Texas Christmas Village. Limitless Texas-style food, live entertainment, roaring campfires, and more await the guests. There are so many things to enjoy. A holiday train goes on its own special route, and kids and adults can try their hand riding a mechanical bull! A continuous rotation of holiday movies play on the new GIANT outdoor LED Jumbotron that features great sound and visibility. The Jumbotron is located in the iconic Santa’s Wonderland Barn, close to several roasting stations where guests can roast their own hot dogs or marshmallows for tasty s’mores. The Santa’s Wonderland Winery is located inside The Trading Post and guests can shop in over 10,000 feet of holiday retail space. Merry ‘Okie Karaoke, the Self –Elfie Photo Station and more attractions await those who come out ready to immerse themselves in “all things Christmas and Texas,” and the night won’t be complete until you do a dance with the town mascot, Marshall Frostbite, or have a little visit with Santa.
