Stocks stumbled today as investors get set to watch the first US presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump . The S&P 500 declined 0.9% to 2,146.10 today, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 166.62 points, or 0.9%, to 18,094.83. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.9% to 5,257.49.
