Meaningless? Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq Hit Record Highs as ‘Slate Seemingly Wiped Clean’

Stocks rose today after the market decided to focus on the ECB's extension of its bond buying program , not the reduction in monthly purchases. The S&P 500 advanced 0.2% to 2,246.19 today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 65.19 points, or 0.3%, to 19,614.81. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.4% to 5,417.36. All three closed at record highs.
