Chevron (NYSE:CVX) is preparing to drill a test well in Poland in the fourth quarter of this year as it looks for shale gas in the country, said John Claussen, Poland country manager at Chevron Polska Energy Resources. Chevron hired Polish state-controlled gas firm PGNiG SA (PGN.WA) to drill the well, he added. Chevron has a multi-well program in Poland that will run through next year, he said. -MarketWatch Sunoco (NYSE:SUN) said it has agreed to sell a Philadelphia chemical plant to Honeywell International (NYSE:HON) for about $85 million, including product inventory that will be valued at closing.
