MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL Stocks are set to rise today as President Barack Obama made a counter-offer to Republicans on the fiscal cliff. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) rose 0.20% to 13 222 and S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) futures gained 0.30% to 1 431.30.
