Jaguar Land Rover Drives Tata Motors to Hefty Profit

NEW DELHI -- Tata Motors'  (IW 1000/150)  net profit more than tripled in the first quarter, the Indian giant said Monday, as sales soared at its British luxury marque Jaguar Land Rover. India's biggest automaker said consolidated group net profit climbed to 53.98 billion rupees (US$882.3 million) in the three months to June from 17.26 billion rupees for the same quarter of the previous year. read more
