Secret Service Director Julia Pierson resigns

Joseph Clancy, who formerly served as special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division of the Secret Service, will be appointed as an interim acting director of the Secret Service.. Pierson has been under pressure since it came to light that a fence-jumper had made it further into the White House than previously reported.
