Busy Bee’s Bakeshop is a bakery specializing in buns, cookies and other baked goods made without gluten. These products can be sold through local farmer’s market channels and provide an answer to the ongoing demand for a supply of quality gluten-free baked goods. Now, the owners have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to set up commercial production and marketing.

Early market testing has indicated a strong and supportive response to the prototype products, and the number of orders is already overwhelming without commercial facilities. The owners are in the process of setting up marketing channels through Facebook and a website as well.
According to the owners, their buns were an instant success when they conducted field market testing. “Each of us, for our own reasons, have been searching for a good gluten-free bun. We wanted one that holds up to a big juicy burger yet doesn’t have the consistency of a cardboard box. We were not very successful. Having said ‘that’s not bad’ too many times, we decided we could do better so we decided to create our own recipe. We started baking buns and handing out samples and asking for feedback. The response has been amazing.”
Donors at the $10 level will receive a handwritten postcard thanking them for their donation and for helping supply customers with quality gluten-free products. For a $25 donation, donors will receive a handwritten thank you and a coupon for a free bun. At the $50 level, the donor will receive a handwritten postcard, two coupons for free buns and a “Gluten Free Is The Way To Be” bumper sticker.
