Art collection of late Goldman chairman carries Christie’s auction estimate of $40 million

The late Goldman Sachs chairman John C. Whitehead, who died last month at 92, left behind an art collection whose value may exceed $40 million. Christie’s is set to put the works under the hammer May 4 and 5.
