Crowdfunding Campaign Launched for iLanguage: Learn Languages for free

People who wish to benefit reap the many benefits of learning new languages can now do so with easy on their smartphones such as the iPhone, Vassili a software developer has created one such iPhone app that allows users to learn various languages through an interactive interface, his app is called iLanguage. The iLanguage project in currently being upgraded by Vassili and is in need of funding to cover the cost adding new languages and enlisting professional native speakers help and various other expenses, a crowdfunding campaign has been launched on KickStarter with a funding goal of at least Fr 2,000 that needs to be pledged by Sun, Nov 22 2015.

The iLanguage app is currently an up and running app available on the Apple App Store, Vassili had begun the work on the idea of creating an easy to use app in the beginning of 2015 and by March 2015 his app had been completed and was put on offer on Apple App store which allows users to learn English language flashcards free. Initially the app was intended to teach only German words through a words flashcard method; however as time progressed Vassili added more words from different languages and now he believes that the app should be upgraded to include even more language and an overall improvement of user experience through the addition of better quality flash cards for the new words.

Currently the following languages are supported: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, and Russian.

Vassili explains: “The idea is to add as many languages as possible for example the next ones to add are Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, Hebrew, you tell me! For translation to each language first I use a few online dictionaries and then pay to native speakers to check the translations. This is why the quality of translations is far better than Google or Bing Translate.”

What started as Vassili developed tool for his personal growth in learning German is gradually turning into an app that people around the world can use to expand their lingual horizons and maybe pave the path to new opportunities.

Vassili further added: “In addition, I plan to increase significantly number of words and phrases e.g. one of new phrases types thought is “phrases to flirt” in all of the languages. So all translations efforts do cost money.”

The continuing Kickstarter with an Fr 2,000 funding goal has witnessed some progress; however the campaign still has a long way to go to reach its goals within the 52 days’ time period left before the campaign concludes. Vaassili is looking towards the generosity of the online crowd who is able to appreciate the convenience iLanguage will provide. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product to a high standard.

A variety of different rewards and perks are being offered to prize the generosity of those who support the campaign through their monetary contributions the rewards will include specially designed and manufactured items which will be given according to the amount of money pledged.
