SMB – The Alliance Encourages Participation in Chinese American Entrepreneurship Forum Hosted in Silicon Valley

At a time when there is major concern about exporting jobs and sending US dollars overseas, a California based Chinese-American organization, 99people, Inc., is producing its second annual Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum designed to promote a “balanced economic exchange relying on technology and business cooperation.”

The event, scheduled for October 20 at the San Jose Convention Center, will host thousands of business owners including hundreds of Chinese leaders arriving with funds to invest in growing American companies. Last year, former president Bill Clinton joined a delegation of Congressional and California state officials in supporting the event and honoring the groups founder Iris Lei for the program described as “an outstanding opportunity to improve international relations and better the quality of our lives.”

A day long series of seminars and workshops will also be held exploring partnership opportunities between Chinese and US companies. A highlight of the event will be one on one matching meetings between the Chinese investors and American small business owners looking to expand and create new jobs. Business Matchmaking, the nation’s leading non-profit small business procurement initiative, will produce the face to face sessions primarily featuring entrepreneurs relying on technology with interest in mobility solutions.

“It is our genuine wish that through participation in this event, our guests will see the giant gateway we all may open with a courageous and proactive view into the future of this new generation of human civilization,” said Iris Lei, CEO/Founder of 99people, Inc. and event Chairwoman.

“This forum will be one of the largest gatherings of internationally successful entrepreneurs, traders and business leaders from both the United States and China. Through networking opportunities, professional development seminars, and cultural awareness efforts, the forum will provide valuable information and act as an open dialogue for all its attendees,” said the House Small Business Committee describing last year’s inaugural meeting.
