EDF targets power production increase, Edison-report

PARIS, May 24 (Reuters) - EDF will raise its power production capacity by a third between now and 2020 through capital expenditures as the French utility aims to become the world's biggest electricity group, its chief said on Tuesday. In an interview with French newspaper Le Monde, EDF Chairman Henri Proglio said the former monopoly would lift its output capacity to 200 gigawatts (GW) by 2020 from 150 GW now.
