Credant
Technologies, the trusted experts in data
protection, today announced a record breaking third quarter, further
positioning the company for continued growth across key markets. Based
on the execution of its 2012 plan, Credant has seen marked increases in
new customers and sales momentum while maintaining its strong customer
retention.
Organizations and their IT departments are facing enormous security
challenges brought on first by the adoption of Bring Your Own Device
(BYOD) and mobility, and more recently with increased use of public
clouds. With more than ten million endpoints protected worldwide,
Credant’s platform continues to provide companies with the ability to
protect data wherever it is located – laptops, smartphones, tablets,
removable media or private and public cloud infrastructures.
Credant’s third quarter 2012, compared to its performance in the same
quarter in 2011, saw the following increases:
112 percent growth in new customers,
49 percent growth in software bookings, and
95 percent retention rate of current customers

Expanded Worldwide Partner Program Showing Results
Launched in 2012, Credant’s partner program allows OEMs (original
equipment manufacturers), VARs (value added resellers), system
integrators and security consulting firms to offer data protection
solutions to customers and prospects. In addition to adding new partners
in the US and EMEA, the Credant partner program has expanded to APAC and
most recently Latin America. Credant continues to demonstrate a strong
commitment to partner success, providing best-in-class data protection
solutions to their customers.
Continued Product Advances in Data Protection
Protecting sensitive and confidential data is the core of Credant’s
value proposition. The most recent Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile
Data Protection recognizes Credant as a visionary, based upon the firm's
innovative functionality and broad platform support. Credant released Credant
Enterprise Edition 7.3, protecting data stored on removable media
and OPAL-compliant Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs), allowing enterprises
to be confident their sensitive data is secure.
The company continues to extend its Data Protection Platform, offering
organizations control of their information across devices, and is primed
to release its cloud protection and mobile device security solutions in
early Q4.
“Our history of delivering products and technologies that protect data
across its lifecycle has positioned the company for record growth as
companies struggle with quickly changing business and computing models,”
said Bob Heard, CEO and founder, Credant Technologies. “Today’s data
security market and the need to protect data wherever it is accessed or
stored, validates Credant strategy and underlying technology.”
