Jungo,
now part of Cisco, a leading supplier of automotive multimedia
middleware and connectivity solutions, has been selected by Hyundai
Mobis, an affiliate of the Hyundai Motor Company, to provide an
infotainment middleware solution for new automobiles sold in the US
market from 2013.
Highlights:
Jungo will provide a certified middleware implementation that supports
various types of infotainment systems from Hyundai Mobis and numerous
car models. The functionality of existing infotainment systems will be
upgraded to enable head unit playing and control of Pandora Radio from
devices connected over USB.
A key feature of the Jungo middleware for Hyundai Mobis will be
support for Pandora Radio played on the iPhone. Pandora support is a
prominent, pre-integrated feature of the middleware thanks to an
existing partnership between Jungo and Pandora.
Jungo’s automotive multimedia middleware will be on show at the SAE
Convergence 2012 exhibition in Detroit on October 16 & 17, 2012 (booth
319).
