Wall Street's gains faded early Monday afternoon, led by gains in heavyweights McDonald's (MCD) and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ). The Nasdaq and the Dow Jones industrial average were each up 0.2% while the S&P 500 was 0.1% higher. Volume was down 10% on the NYSE and 4% on the Nasdaq compared with Friday.
