Graphene Could Be Wave of the Future for Mobile Technology
By: OTC Report via Marketwired News Releases
Posted on December 12, 2012 at 07:15 AM EST
Note to Editors: The Following Is an Investment Opinion Issued by The OTC Report

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/12 -- The following is an investment opinion on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), USA Graphite, Inc (OTCQB: USGT), IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Intel (NASDAQ: INTC). Graphene, a form of carbon has been making big headlines since Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010 for demonstrating the unique properties of this form of carbon. Graphene is practically transparent and a good conductor, graphene is suitable for producing transparent touch screens, light panels, and possibly solar cells and is currently being explored by some big names in technology.

Graphene in the technology sector could have big implications for companies like Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) in the use of new touchscreens as well as in computing, Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) is said to be experimenting with its uses in chips and IBM (NYSE: IBM) is already testing the first graphene based integrated circuit and says it can build graphene chips using production lines usually used for silicon.

In a Seeking Alpha article on the outlook on Graphite, it states, "demand and prices have increased substantially over the past few years due to the ongoing modernization of China and other emerging economies, which has resulted in strong demand from traditional steel and automotive markets. In addition, Li ion batteries and other new applications such as vanadium redox batteries, fuel cells and nuclear power have the potential to create significant incremental demand growth." These traditional needs for graphite as well as new technologies like lithium ion batteries, graphene based computer chips and touch screens, the demand could continue to drive the prices up in the near future.

USA Graphite (OTCQB: USGT) is focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of world-class graphite properties in North America. USA Graphite intends to become a domestic graphite supplier. The Company has holdings in Nevada, offering considerable potential for the discovery and development of large flake, high-grade graphite.
