Novalon Games, the gaming developer founded by the joint venture of OBJ
Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) and Source Street, LLC, will release two
brand-new iOS gaming apps for the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPad and iPhone
in 2013.
The news represents a major expansion of Novalon’s release strategy. The
game maker is also working to develop Wayfarers, a sophisticated
online roleplaying game, for release in the new year.
“Work will continue on Wayfarers, which is proceeding nicely
according to the development schedule, but we wanted to share a product
with gaming fans sooner, too,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “That’s why
Novalon will be moving into app development, which is a significant and
potentially highly lucrative step for us.”
The new games will be built on the increasingly popular free-to-play
model, meaning the games will be free to download and use. They will be
monetized through in-app purchases of power-ups and other specialty
items. Beta testing will begin on both applications before the end of
the year.
