The Ottawa Senators have partnered with StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, to create a safe, guaranteed secondary marketplace for fans to buy and sell tickets. StubHub will be the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of the Ottawa Senators. Backed by StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee, each ticket transaction will be between fans and managed by StubHub.
“We are glad to provide a fan-friendly solution to the Senators,“ said Greg Ivry, StubHub Business Development Director. “It is exciting to bring the StubHub service to fans in Ottawa for the first time.
Kicking off the 2012- 13 season, StubHub marketing assets will be highly visible, including: LED displays at Scotiabank Place, in game promotions, dasher board signs, and a permanent 300-level backlit panel sign. StubHub will have online placements on the Senators website and social media. Also included is a once in a lifetime hospitality experience, where four fans will enjoy the pre-game warm up from the penalty box.
“We are very pleased to be partnering with StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, to bring secondary ticketing options and benefits to our fans,” said Senators president Cyril Leeder. “With StubHub, our fans can now safely sell their tickets to other fans through a single, authorized website.”
StubHub is the world's largest ticket marketplace, enabling fans to buy and sell tickets to tens of thousands of sports, concert, theater and other live entertainment events. StubHub reinvented the ticket resale market in 2000 and continues to lead it through innovation. The company's unique online marketplace, dedicated solely to tickets, provides all fans the choice to buy or sell their tickets in a safe, convenient and highly reliable environment. All transactions are processed and delivered by StubHub and backed by the company’s FanProtect Guarantee™. Company partners include the San Francisco Giants and University of Texas, along with over 60 teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA, complemented with companies such as ESPN, Tickets.com, and Paciolan.
