Yahoo snaps up social news start-up Snip.it

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc said on Tuesday it has bought "social news" start-up Snip.it, the latest acquisition to be announced under Chief Executive Marissa Mayer.
