Persistent Systems Announces Licensing Agreement With Hewlett Packard for HP Client Automation (HPCA) Software

PUNE, INDIA and SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- Persistent Systems (BOMBAY: PERSISTENT) (NSE: PERSISTENT), the global leader in software product and technology services, today announced that it has entered into a strategic agreement with HP to license its HP Client Automation (HPCA) software. This technology acquisition underscores Persistent Systems' commitment to expand its IP portfolio and further strengthen its expertise in PC Lifecycle Management (PCLCM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

HPCA is a scalable PC configuration lifecycle management solution used by large enterprises to automate routine client management tasks such as operating system deployments and upgrades, patch management, application software deployment, application usage monitoring, security, compliance and remote system management. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Persistent Systems will be responsible for the product roadmap and intends to invest in product development, extending all existing aspects of the product including Mac support and Mobile Device Management (MDM) functionality. HP will resell the Persistent Systems' solution which will be a Persistent Systems branded solution.
