Nordson ASYMTEK President, Peter Bierhuis, Selected to Join the IPC SMEMA Council

Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN), a leader in dispensing, jetting, and coating equipment and technologies, announces that Peter Bierhuis, president of Nordson ASYMTEK, has been invited to join the IPC Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturers Association Council (SMEMA). The Council furthers the competitive excellence and financial success of suppliers to the electronics assembly industry.

Bierhuis has been president of Nordson ASYMTEK, a leader in dispensing, jetting, and conformal coating equipment and technologies, since 2011, directing the company through several years of record-breaking business and global expansion. Prior to that, Bierhuis served as president of Nordson MARCH from 1999-2011, where he expanded that business to become the industry leader in plasma processing technology and systems. Bierhuis joined Nordson in 1980 and held several important sales and marketing leadership roles within Nordson's Adhesive Dispensing Systems segment. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Georgia and a B.B.A. from Nijenrode in the Netherlands.

The mission of the IPC SMEMA Council is to further the competitive excellence and financial success of suppliers to the electronics assembly industry, specifically equipment manufacturers, and their customers. The council initiates and drives an agenda of technical, managerial, and financial programs that enhance the efficiency of the interface between suppliers to the electronics assembly industry and their customers.
