UPDATE 1-Cutrale-Safra says Chiquita bid to be binding through Oct 26

SAO PAULO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Brazilian juice maker Grupo Cutrale and investment firm Safra Group said their definitive offer for Chiquita Brands International Inc will be binding through Oct. 26, and urged shareholders of the U.S.-based banana producer to vote against a planned merger with Irish rival Fyffes Plc.
