Abacus introduced a Facebook campaign starting Tuesday, November 18 which will end on Sunday, December 21 to encourage its customers and the general public to compose stories about their favorite Houston area charity. The winning Post will be picked by Abacus staff members the week of Christmas, December 22, and that winning charity will be given a one-thousand dollar ($1,000) donation by Abacus on behalf of the individual who had the winning nomination.

Alan O’Neill, CEO of Abacus specified, “There are a lot of excellent charities in Houston, we felt this contest would be a terrific way to let local Houstonians extol the charities they appreciate. And this will certainly help promote these charities to hundreds and thousands of people in the Houston area, ideally producing opportunities for volunteerism, donations, and simply more awareness.”Mr. O’Neill continued, “In a day and age where there is a lot trouble, we wished to focus on the good news occurring every day in our community.
