Family Dollar Forecasts 4% Increase in Sales

Just weeks after the company's shareholders approved its acquisition of smaller rival Dollar Tree, Family Dollar said same-store sales rose 1.7% in the two months ended January 31, which included the all-important holiday shopping season.
