PRLog - March 29, 2015 - INDIANAPOLIS -- Pastor Todd Burpo of Heaven is For Real will share the stage with Martin Luther King’s daughter, Trayvon Martin’s mother, and others to share messages of healing and hope at the National Grief & Hope Convention 2015.
Open to everyone, the three-day event will offer audience Q&A with speakers, personal Meet & Greets with autographs and book signings, workshops, and keynotes. Sessions are $35 each and available at www.griefconvention.com.
Based on the family’s true story of their young son experiencing heaven while clinging to life during an emergency appendectomy, Burpo’s book was released in 2010 and became a #1 New York Times bestseller. Made into a major motion picture by Sony Pictures in 2014, the family’s story takes viewers through the events leading up to, and the aftermath of, their son’s near-death experience.
In recent months, the Heaven is For Real ministries have been broadly confused with the Alex Malarkey story, a young boy who also co-wrote a book with his father about experiencing heaven following a car accident but then recanted, saying he made it up to get attention.
Pastor Burpo’s son maintains the authenticity of his experience and continues his ministry to bring hope to people around the world.
