China Aluminum International Announces 2015 Interim Results

HONG KONG, Aug 26, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - China Aluminum International Engineering Corporation Limited (the "China Aluminum International" or "Company"; stock code: 2068) is pleased to announce the unaudited interim results for the six-month period ended 30 June 2015.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS- The revenue of the Company amounted to RMB9,514 million, representing an increase of 21.3% over that of the corresponding period of the previous year;- Net profit of the Company amounted to RMB291 million, representing an increase of 6.1% over that of the corresponding period of the previous year;- Basic earnings per share amounted to approximately RMB0.09.

In the first half of 2015, affected by the macro economy, the China none ferrous industry faced increasing pressure on resources, energy and environment. Therefore, the excess capacity and the imbalance between supply and demand cannot be settled effectively. In face of downward macro economy and industry, the Company clarified development strategies, seized the market opportunities and innovated business model focusing on diversified development, which retained its business development at a steady level.

For the six months ended 30 June 2015, realized revenue for the Company amounted to approximately RMB9,513.8million, representing an increase of 21.3% when compared to approximately RMB 7,842 million for the same period of last year. Specifically, the revenue of engineering design and consultancy amounted to RMB 645 million, representing an increase of 0.5%; the revenue of engineering and construction contracting amounted to RMB4,666 million, representing a decrease of 7.5%; the revenue of equipment manufacturing amounted to RMB270 million, which is at roughly the same level as the corresponding period of the previous year, while the trading segment realized revenue of RMB3,933 million, representing an increase of 108.3%.

Due to its outstanding engineering design capacity in the non-ferrous industry, the Company ranked 119 on the Top 150 Global Design Firms list and 189 on the Top 225 International Design Firms list of the 2015 Engineering Record (ENR). The Company also ranked 213 on the "2015 China top 500 enterprises" list published by the Fortune China, which moved up 54 places in the rankings over the previous year. The Company believes that the rise of its brand awareness will establish a firm foundation for its future business development in both domestic and overseas markets.
