March Durable Goods Orders Rise Less Than Expected

The Commerce Department reports durable goods orders were up 0.8% in March from the prior month, coming in lower than the estimate for a rise of 1.8%. Take out the transportation component and orders decreased 0.2%. The estimate was for that part to increase by 0.5%.
