European stock markets trimmed gains in afternoon trade on Thursday. European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said policy makers still see monetary policy as "accomodative", during his monthly conference. The Stoxx Europe 600 index traded 0.5% higher at 258.57, coming off session highs of 259.86. Italy's FTSE MIB index shortly erased gains, but was 0.4% higher at 14,274.21 at the latest. Spain's IBEX 35 index was up 0.8% at 6,884.90, while the French CAC-40 index took on 0.5% to 3,243.90. Germany's DAX 30 index rose 0.4% to 6,740.26 and the U.K.'s FTSE 100 index was 0.5% higher at 5,785.16.
