SEC Pressure Prompts Berkshire Write-Down

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A) took nearly $1 billion in writedowns in three stocks — U.S. Bancorp, Sanofi- Aventis SA and Swiss Reinsurance Co. — in response to SEC pressure, Bloomberg reports.
