Covance Inc. (NYSE: CVD) will be acquired by Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings (NYSE: LH) in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $1.6 billion. Shares of Covance leaped $20.67 to close at $100.57 while LabCorp stock plunged $8.06 to close at $101.23.
