Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) will pay a premium of
approximately $4.4 billion to acquire AOL Inc. (NYSE: AOL). Shares of
Verizon eased 12 cents to $49.68 while AOL stock leaped $7.98 to $50.57.
