On the downside


Hibbett Sports (Nasdaq: HIBB) reported lower third quarter earnings that fell short of expectations.


Profit taking weighed down shares of Superconductor Technologies (Nasdaq: SCON).


Seanergy Maritime Holdings (Nasdaq: SHIP) priced its registered direct offering of 1.305 million common shares at the discounted price of $2.75 per share.


In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of more than 10 to 9 on the NYSE while advancers edged out decliners by nearly 5 to 4 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 lost 5 points to 2,181. Bitcoin eased to $742.
