(PRBuzz.com) February 27, 2012 -- Delegates from the different teams in the IT support industry has released a statement that tries to warn various businesses, clients, and other stakeholders about the various threats that they could be facing in the near future. The statement was released during a security conference.
The warnings were considered to be a response to the past events of 2011 wherein hackers, phone tapping, and denial of service attacks were seemingly the norm. The IT support teams wanted to forewarn their members and clients about the potential dangers that they may start to face in the coming years. They said that the aim for releasing the warnings was not to scare their partners but rather to be able to start measures that could protect their companies from these threats.
One of the threats that they have issued would be related to the different attacks that can occur to a business or a company. Previously, attacks only consisted of viruses and other malware attacking the system and bringing it down. However, there seems to be a trend towards more advanced techniques wherein not only is a company's system brought down, but the attacks would also steal some of the confidential information that a company has.
The IT support industry warns that having security systems and software that are not up to date would definitely put a business at a risk of hackers being able to infiltrate their system. Through an Information Technology support team, they may be able to stave off these attacks and prevent them from losing important files and data.
Another threat that is commonly listed is the breakdown of the existing equipment. It seems that the next few years could be crucial as these are the times wherein some time have since it's right after a decade. Apparently, some studies have shown that most companies would allow their systems to run for around 9-10 years.
This means that after that span of time, the IT systems that a company has may be prone to break down and need repair. They may now need the services of an IT support team so that they would be able to perform maintenance work on these systems.
Faced with these threats, the players in the IT support industry are suggesting that more and more businesses should be wary and start deploying the help of IT support in Manchester teams to help in safeguarding their operations.
